Description

Poulvac® E. coli is recommended as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by Escherichia coli
(E. coli)
 Presentation:

  • 10 x 5,000 doses
  • 10 x 20,000 doses

Composition: Live E. coli bacterium
Formulation: Live culture
Withholding period: 21 days before slaughter

Vaccination programs

Chickens: Vaccinate healthy chickens at 1 day of age or older by coarse spray or drinking water as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by E. coli. A second vaccination is recommended for long-lived birds at 12 to 14 weeks of age.

Turkeys: Vaccinate by coarse spray to healthy turkeys at 3 days of age as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by E. coli. Follow with a second dose at 3 weeks of age.

Precautions

For veterinary use only.

  • If possible, vaccinate all susceptible birds on the premises at the same time.
  • For 10 to 14 days after vaccinating, avoid carrying vaccine particles on shoes, clothing, etc., into areas where there are nonvaccinated birds.
  • Concurrent use of antibiotics with this vaccine is not recommended.

Storage and handling

  • Store in the dark at 35° F to 45° F (2° C to 7° C).
  • Use entire contents when first opened.
  • Burn containers and all unused contents.
