When treating common bacterial skin infections in pets, there’s more to weigh than just size.
Weigh the reasons to offer a different kind of treatment
- The pet’s willingness to accept oral medication
- Irregular or incomplete dosing may hinder healing or promote antimicrobial resistance
- Risk of food aversion or gastrointestinal upset
- Most owners prefer not to have to remember or struggle with oral medication4
